Terms of Use

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and otherwise able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. In that case, "you" includes both you and that organization.

Context is a research workspace designed to help users upload, organize, analyze, compare, and generate writing from their own sources.

The Service may include features such as:

• source upload and organization;
• AI-assisted summaries and structured analysis;
• source comparison tools;
• concept and theme mapping;
• writing and synthesis generation; and
• export and refinement tools.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

To use certain features, you may need to create an account.

You agree to:

• provide accurate and current information;
• keep your login credentials confidential;
• promptly update your account information if it changes; and
• notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, except to the extent liability cannot be imposed under applicable law.

"User Content" means any content you upload, submit, store, generate, annotate, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Service, including:

• source materials;
• notes;
• prompts and instructions;
• research questions;
• workspaces;
• tags and metadata; and
• generated outputs.

You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the limited license granted below.

You grant Narrative Axis a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, transmit, and otherwise use your User Content solely as reasonably necessary to:

• provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
• generate requested outputs;
• secure the Service;
• provide support;
• comply with legal obligations; and
• enforce these Terms.

This license ends when your User Content is deleted from the Service, except to the extent retention is reasonably necessary for backup, security, compliance, dispute resolution, or legal purposes.

You are responsible for:

• ensuring you have the rights, permissions, and lawful basis to upload and use the materials you submit;
• reviewing and verifying outputs before academic, professional, journalistic, policy, legal, medical, financial, or other consequential use;
• complying with applicable laws, regulations, institutional rules, publisher restrictions, and academic integrity obligations; and
• using the Service responsibly and with appropriate human judgment.

The Service is a research and writing support tool. It does not replace your judgment, expertise, or obligation to review and verify results.

You may not:

• use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful purposes;
• upload or use content you do not have the right to use;
• infringe or violate the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights of others;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems;
• interfere with or disrupt the operation, integrity, or security of the Service;
• reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service except as permitted by law;
• use the Service to generate or distribute abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful content; or
• use the Service in a way that violates academic integrity rules, professional duties, or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or created risk for the Service, our users, or others.

The Service may generate summaries, comparisons, citations, outlines, drafts, or other outputs using automated systems or AI tools.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• outputs may contain errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or imperfect interpretations;
• outputs should be reviewed and verified by you before use or reliance;
• the Service aims to ground outputs in user-provided sources but does not guarantee correctness, completeness, originality, or fitness for a particular purpose; and
• you are solely responsible for evaluating and using any output generated through the Service.

Narrative Axis is not responsible for decisions made, work submitted, advice given, or publications created based on generated outputs.

The Service, including its software, design, interface, branding, and related materials, is owned by Narrative Axis or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, sell, lease, sublicense, or otherwise exploit the Service or any portion of it.

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant Narrative Axis a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any lawful purpose, without compensation to you.

If you purchase a paid plan:

• you agree to pay all applicable fees and charges in Saudi Riyals (SAR);
• plans are one-time access periods (30 days for monthly plans, 120 days for the thesis semester, 365 days for yearly plans) — they do not renew automatically;
• payments are processed by a third-party payment processor, PayTabs; and
• pricing, plan features, and usage limits may change from time to time.

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once paid. Your access continues until the end of the purchased period. To maintain uninterrupted access, you must purchase a new plan before your current period expires.

If payment is unsuccessful, we may suspend or limit access to paid features.

Some parts of the Service may be identified as beta, preview, or experimental. Those features may be incomplete, changed, interrupted, or discontinued at any time, and may contain bugs or inaccuracies.

You use beta or experimental features at your own risk.

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service if:

• you violate these Terms;
• we believe your use creates legal, operational, or security risk;
• we are required to do so by law; or
• it is necessary to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections relating to ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, payment obligations, governing law, and dispute venue.

• the amount you paid to Narrative Axis for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
• USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations or exclusions of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Narrative Axis and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs, arising out of or related to:

• your User Content;
• your misuse of the Service;
• your violation of these Terms; or
• your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in Ohio, USA, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and provide notice where appropriate.

By continuing to use the Service after updated Terms become effective, you agree to the revised Terms.
